This is the smoothed or high polygon view of the quillon. One of the keys to this type of modeling is realizing how the smoothing process is going to affect your model. Without the extra edges that I added on the corners of the segments, smoothing would have turned the low poly angular form into a smooth cylinder and the effect would have been lost.
